March Glimmers ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
It’s in the little things that you realise, it’s not all that bad. This month has been one full of change (and in fact this is the second time I’m trying to write this). Even though this change has been positive my sweet sensitive nervous system has felt like I’m being forced to fight in the Colosseum with a crowd who are hungry for the lion to win. And yet, as I look back at these glimmers I think “wow! It’s really been a good month”, which is the point of doing these, I think. I’ve been likening them to the dream jars from the BFG, stacking them up to create a little protective wall that makes the world a little more colourful.
With this in mind, let’s get into it shall we?
Bought tickets to see a friend in a play, she’s been really wanting to get this part in the play, and I can’t wait to see her perform!!
Did another Wicked Lego set, and I fear that every single one I build is my favourite set- seriously, if you love Wicked… get the Lego sets
Built IKEA furniture, which I usually HATE doing but this was very satisfying, and I am proud to say that my bed is still up!
Walked to the end of my street for the first time, this is huge for me especially because I struggle to get out the house sometimes
Put my beloved items on my shelf, it felt nice to have them all up and visible
Caught a Twitch stream of one of my favourite streamers live, which doesn’t usually happen because of the time difference
Took my youngest sister out for her birthday, she’s going up into a good human
Got the go ahead to put on a community event I’ve been wanting to run!
Watched Twilight on the home projector and had a caramel shortcake… my idea of heaven
Had a deep chat with my beloved about the root of my anxiety, I think I articulated myself well, and he made me feel loved <3
Finally caved to the hype and bought Pokopia… it is as good as it looks people
Held a yard sale for the first time in AGES and it was really fun and great to see all my treasures go to good homes
Had a delicious cake made by someone in my work- it was orange flavour!
Had a really great stimming session
Was able to make dinner for the first time in a while, it was just pasta but it was tasty!!
Got a new bead delivery, and made some lovely things with them
Got myself out of a big executive dysfunction phase and actually got some things I needed to done!
Gave loads of things to the charity shop (and didn’t buy anything as I was leaving- result!)
Rearranged my bookshelf, it was very satisfying
Opened my bedroom window and enjoyed the sun coming in
Got some help from a lovely stranger who helped me carry some heavy things, it was unexpected but made my whole day
Spent some time with my boyfriend’s family, we had lunch and caught up
Had some good creative time, making my little keychains
Had seriously the best iced latte I’ve ever had in my whole life- the guy that made it had only ever made one before and it was delicious
Had my last ever Uni class!! Felt so surreal to be finished after 4 years, and I felt really proud of myself
Got a really yummy bagel for lunch- you know when it just hits the spot?
Didn’t get caught in any traffic
Went to the doctors to pick up my prescription just in the nick of time, and I wasn’t without any medication
Made some bookmarks for a craft fair I’m doing in a few months!
Finished crocheting some little chicken crème egg covers, using my own pattern
Had some vegan pizza, it was really really tasty
Well, there we go! March has been well and truly ✨ glimmered ✨, amid all of the chaos of moving house, leaving uni and writing a dissertation, some goodness has shone through in the smallest moments of the day. I’m really glad to be getting time to create again. Regardless of how tumultuous my life has been, I know I can always craft about it.
